| Boxes Prestige, one of the UK's leading specialists in first class packaging, is manufacturing cartons for Crabtree & Evelyn's new children's range of bath and body care products.
The Nursery Tails Collection is illustrated with a special animal friend on each product, drawn by British illustrator Alison Jay.
Boxes Prestige is the sole supplier of folding carton packaging for Crabtree & Evelyn in the UK and Europe. The Northamptonshire-based company has produced three cartons, on 450 micron Avanta Ultra, and printed in seven special colours with high gloss varnish.
Business Development Manager at Boxes Prestige, Ray Grundy, said the combination of colours was chosen to enable the original hand-painted images to be reproduced while keeping the soft pastel effect.
"Initial reproduction and proofing was carried out using both standard and Stochastic screens. Stochastic screening and CTP plates was chosen to enhance the soft look of the pastel design and improved the blend of the vignettes without banding," he said.
Crabtree & Evelyn's Head of Packaging, Neil Roberts, said: "We have enjoyed a good relationship with Boxes Prestige for over 20 years. The recent Nursery Tails project was avery complex one requiring difficult reprographic origination and very careful printing.
"The support given by Boxes Prestige was excellent. The final cartons were printed using stochastic screens and a non-standard set to give the colour and softness we were looking for on the finished cartons."
The Nursery Tails products are safe as well as fun and are formulated to suit a child's delicate skin. All have been tested and approved by dermatologists and paediatricians.
Crabtree & Evelyn is sold in over 40 countries and has over 350 stores worldwide including 40 in the UK.
Boxes Prestige is part of The Boxes Group which consists of eight specialist companies majoring in packaging supplies and solutions across a wide variety of sectors.
